What is the issue? The Taxable Income section on the Tax page displays values that do not match the Total Income shown at the top of the page. In some cases the breakdown states “You have no taxable income” while the header shows a non-zero total income. Who is affected? Multiple users viewing the Tax page. What is the workaround? What is being requested? Users are requesting the ability to upload and import custom 1099-DA forms from non-supported exchanges (CSV import-only exchanges) directly within the 1099-DA portal. Why is this needed? Currently, users who transact on exchanges that are not fully supported (API integration unavailable) can only import transaction data via CSV, but they cannot upload corresponding 1099-DA forms into the 1099-DA portal. Info The option to import data from CoinTracker to H&R Block Desktop, is currently unavailable. Please note that this is separate from H&R Block Online, which is a different application. What is being requested? Users have requested continued support for exporting .txf files for use with the CD/Desktop version of TurboTax. Previously, CoinTracker offered .txf exports as a courtesy for TurboTax CD/Desktop users. However, the TXF import functionality within TurboTax Desktop is based on an older standard that has not been updated to align with more recent tax workflows and data requirements. As a result, imported data may not display as expected. Because of these limitations, CoinTracker no longer supports .txf exports for TurboTax CD/Desktop. Once TurboTax updates the CD/Desktop TXF import functionality to support modern data requirements, we may revisit compatibility in the future. What can users do now? Why is this needed? Interest income amounts from excess lending withdrawals appear in the summary table amount ($) totals, but the transaction count does not include them because the transactions are categorized as 'Lending Withdrawal' rather than 'Interest income'. What can users do now? Users can navigate to the Transactions page, filter by the 'Lending Withdrawal' category, and review the Gain/Income column. Feature Request: Option to Unfreeze Historical Transactions After Universal to Per Wallet Migration What is being requested? Users who have completed the migration from the Universal to Per Wallet tracking method need an option to unfreeze their historical transactions. This feature would allow users to make updates to correct errors in their account data. Why is this needed? Users may not have fully reconciled their transactions or realized they had incomplete data before switching from the Universal to the Per Wallet method. Without the ability to unfreeze and amend historical transactions, errors in their data can lead to inaccurate cost basis calculations. By allowing users to unfreeze and update their data, they can ensure their tax reports are more accurate. What can users do now? Users who completed the universal to per wallet migration must reach out to support to unfreeze historical transactions. Those with concerns about the Safe Harbor provision or how unfreezing may impact it should consult a tax professional for guidance. What is the issue? Users attempting to complete the guided tax flow may be redirected to an “Oops! This is unexpected," preventing them from continuing through the flow. This has been observed at multiple stages, including after reviewing transactions or when attempting to import/upload 1099-DA forms. Who is affected? Users trying to generate tax forms through the guided tax flow. This behavior has been reported by accounts with high transaction counts and at various stages in the guided tax flow. What is the workaround? Users should be able to "Skip for now" or hit "Continue" to bypass pages in the flow that generate the error, and proceed to get their tax forms. You can also go directly to your Tax page to download tax forms once you have uploaded 1099-DA and reached the end of the guided tax flow.
